Head of IT - Watford (Permanent)

Location: Watford, Hertfordshire Country: UK Rate: £90-100k
 

If you are an experienced Head of IT with impeccable communication skills and the ability to lead a small team of IT professionals, we have an exciting role we would like to discuss with you.

The role will be based in Watford and requires onsite attendance on a hybrid basis.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Developing the IT strategy according to business requirements
  • Find and implement business efficiencies that utilise IT to improve sales, reduce costs, win new contracts etc
  • Attend board meetings and provide updates on IT matters
  • Manage the IT team and focus on continuous improvement, ensure IT team are developed to realise their true potential.
  • Identify opportunities and threats across the IT landscape
  • Manage the key service offerings of Service Desk, Infrastructure, Software & Applications, Business Intelligence
  • Attend board meetings and present on all IT related matters
  • Identify opportunities and threats & manage them accordingly
  • Assist with business tenders by providing IT expertise

Person specification:

  • Proven leadership skills with excellent communication skills both written and oral
  • ITIL/Prince 2 desirable
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
  • Ability to strategise and plan ahead taking into account current and future technology landscapes
  • Experience in managing third party vendors, procurement, contract negotiations and asset management
  • Commercial awareness to leverage IT and enable business growth
  • Project Management experience

Salary/Benefits:

  • Basic Salary: £90-£100k per annum
  • Annual Bonus: up to 15%
