Payments Project Manager - Agile - Payments and Loans - Banking (Contract)

Payments Project Manager - Agile - Payments and Loans - Banking

Excellent opportunity for a Project Manager to join a leading Private Bank. The project manager will be responsible for managing and delivering the projects required to introduce new payment services (direct debits, standing orders, Apple Pay & Google Pay, Faster Payments and straight through processing) and a new retail loan management platform.

Key responsibilities and accountabilities

  • The role manages the end-to-end delivery of projects aligned to the payment and retail loan services.
  • Manage risk and dependencies.
  • Manage and plan project change requests.
  • Maintain regular project reporting across the full stakeholder group Chair project status reviews, technical project meetings and steering committees.
  • Set clear project plan goals and objectives, defining roles and producing schedules and timelines for tasks.
  • Drive and support business case development with Key stakeholders.
  • Manage conflicting priorities and project activities within stakeholder group, taking the lead on decision making where required to ensure adherence to the project plan
  • Manage key suppliers, including contracts and negotiations.

Qualification & Experience

  • Degree educated preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years overall experience with a substantial percentage of experience obtained within financial services.
  • Previous experience in a project role in the Banking industry is essential and certification in project methodology.
