DevOps Engineer (Contract)

Location: United Kingdom Country: UK Rate: £500 per day

Fully Remote

12 Month Contract

Daily Rate: Circa £500 per Day

My client in the Telecoms industry, specialising in IoT, is looking for a DevOps Engineer to join on a contract basis.

Previous experience within a IoT business will be a benefit, but not required. The successful candidate for this role will have demonstrable experience with implementing Kubernetes and DevOps practises to an on-site/VM environment.

Further to this experience the successful candidate will have:

  • 3+ years' experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar
  • Strong expertise in Kubernetes, Helm, Docker, Jenkins, and Ansible.
  • Proficiency with monitoring and alerting tools, such as Prometheus and Grafana.
  • Experience of Terraform and cloud formation Scripting
  • Proficient with Apache Kafka is a must
  • Experience with database technologies, for example MySQL, PostgreSQL, Redis, and Solr.
  • Proficient with git and git workflows
  • Experience with Selenium for automated testing purposes.
  • Good knowledge of Ruby or Python
  • Experience with software engineering and development of applications for high transaction volumes

The process for this role, will be an initial, short technical test, followed by an interview with the hiring manager and member of the team and then finally an interview with a member of the senior management team.
