Duration: 6-month contract
Location: Hybrid Working out of London
Rate: £300-£318 per day inside IR35


Summary

  • The Data Analyst is a member of the Change and Development Product Team. The Product Team manages the delivery of Faculty Education Administration and Student Experience projects, which are part of the EASE Programme change initiative in line with our clients Strategic Plan 2022-27 aiming to work with each faculty to review and improve their EASE services. By partnering with colleagues across our client, the Product Team collaborates as cross functional agile teams and have core capabilities in experience, development & test, analysis, and agile delivery management. The Product Team includes members from ISD, Change & Improvement, Change Management, and HR Business Partnering.
  • The Data Analyst will support our client change Education Administration and Student Experience projects within the Faculty Operations Change Portfolio. Working with a variety of key stakeholders, the Data Analyst will access and analyse relevant and accurate data. They will help identify the root causes of problems and issues, so that the right solutions are put in place.
  • Working closely with colleagues in the Data and Insights team, as well as other teams across our client, our Data Analyst will support the identification of data sources required to baseline and measure the impact of EASE projects.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Faculty EASE Project Delivery Teams, working closely with the Product Owner and Faculty EASE Leads, to identify and locate data required to baseline EASE projects.
  • Analyse data and trends to support effective root cause analysis.
  • Use visualisation tools to present key information, operational and strategic to key stakeholders.
  • Support in the development of dashboards, including EASE capability management and performance, benefits tracking and realisation.
  • Work with the Data and Insights team and Data Owners and contribute to the identified data quality improvement projects.
  • Take an active role in the wider data community at our client, including the Data and Insights Community of Practice.
  • Support a culture of evidence-based change and decision making across the Faculty Operations Change Portfolio and our client more widely.

Key Skills

  • Higher Education experience required
  • Experience of processing and analysing large, complex data sets.
  • Effective use of Management Information tools/visualisation technologies (eg Tableau, Power BI).
  • Must be able to produce complex, detailed reports and data.
  • Experience of working with spreadsheets and other analytical tools is important.
  • Experienced in working in large, complex, and decentralised organisations with a significant number of diverse stakeholders.
  • Well-developed analytical skills and techniques including the development and interpretation of statistics.
  • Ability to interpret complex issues and conclude in simple, engaging, and visual ways.
  • Well-developed verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent Excel skills including for modelling using complex data.
  • A collaborative approach to work, allowing relevant input to shape your approach.
  • Must be numerical and comfortable with data/information analysis and reporting.
  • Experience of using coding languages (eg python) to analyse and visualilse data.
  • Taking proactive steps where you see an opportunity to fulfil a need.
  • Knowing your key stakeholders and keeping them informed.
  • Working methodically, prioritising and managing tasks.
