Content Designer (Contract)

Location: Newcastle upon Tyne Country: UK
 

Job Title: Content Designer

Location: Hybrid - Newcastle, UK

Security Clearance: BPSS standard checks

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create and maintain user-centered content for digital services.
  • Conduct user research to inform content design.
  • Design and iterate content based on user feedback.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to ensure content meets user needs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure content is delivered on time and to a high standard.
  • Present designs and decisions to senior stakeholders and clients.
  • Ensure seamless integration of content with other design and development components.

Must-Haves:

  • Previous experience as a content designer.
  • Experience working on government projects.
  • Advanced proficiency in User Interface (UI) Design.
  • Advanced proficiency in Visual Design and Development.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills.

Nice to Haves:

  • Knowledge of GDS (Government Digital Service) patterns.
  • Experience working in an agile environment.
  • Comfortable presenting designs and decisions to senior stakeholders and clients.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in content design, particularly in government or public sector projects.
  • Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and practices.
  • Ability to conduct and analyze user research.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Proficiency in design and prototyping tools.
