This is a Manchester based role with an excellent immediate start within a Global Technology Client that is working on their largest digital and technological transformation program.

As a Software Engineer II within the Cars Promotions Team, you'll take charge of executing technical solutions within our tech stack, products, and processes. Your primary responsibilities will include implementing technical solutions based on business requirements, estimating effort and impact, and maintaining high-quality code craftsmanship. You'll play a pivotal role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our promotions platform, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to prioritize and implement technical tasks.

Skills Required:

• Proficiency in Node.js, React, and Typescript for Front End and Back End development.
• Experience with AWS services and infrastructure as code (AWS CDK).
• Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and Agile processes.
• Familiarity with Java/Spring Boot is a plus but not strictly necessary.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of [insert number] years of experience in software engineering roles.
• Proven track record of delivering high-quality, scalable software solutions.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement technical solutions for promotions creation, administration, and reporting.
• Collaborate with internal customer service teams and external suppliers to enable seamless promotion management.
• Utilize CI/CD and Kanban methodologies for efficient development and deployment.
• Conduct thorough testing and ensure code quality through refactoring and test automation.
• Work with microservices architecture hosted on AWS, including Kubernetes and infrastructure as code (AWS CDK).
• Actively participate in pair programming sessions to foster knowledge sharing and code quality improvement.
