Job Description:

  • Skilled and experienced in a wide variety of Oracle solution design specialisms, you will support a broad range of services, which will include:
  • Reviewing Business Requirements and the TOM and making sure those are mapped to an RTM.
  • Advising the business on mapping their process and requirements to the Oracle Solution
  • Defining, managing, challenging, and delivering the Fusion Solution Design and Build in the Programme alongside the System Integrator and the Technology Solution Architect.
  • Ensuring and managing the programme compliance with the bank's architectural frameworks and policies
  • Interfacing with the other departments and team member in the bank and SI to manage compliance and solution delivery.
  • Planning, implementing, and driving solution delivery plans and resources and governance.
  • Managing and driving solution governance and controls and delivery in the programme - plans, resources, RAID (risks, assumptions, issues, and dependencies), RACI, proactively proposing solutions where issues have been identified and driving them to resolution,
  • Working with stakeholders and third parties to understand and identify requirements and process and matching against the solution Design.
  • Leading business and Oracle processes setting out standards and tools and defining reporting within plan timetables to ensure provision of reliable and consistent information and updates.
  • Challenging constructively and assessing overall Design, Build and Test process and service effectiveness, and progress of the programme by creating/reviewing configuration designs, workflows and processes delivering progress reports, presentations, financials and other key management information associated with the Project.
  • Leading the Change Request Process for the Programme and assessing their impacts on design and build and costs and timelines.
  • Interacting with Technical Architects and Technical Solution Designers to ensure access and security controls are adhered to and that the designs suggested are effective and can be operationalized.
  • Working with stakeholders and SME's to ensure and obtain sign-off for the design and build, Test and Transition phases (I am not sure this is their responsibility but rather the PMs?)
  • Managing, organising, and driving lessons learnt reviews and retrospectives when significant milestones are completed, capturing, and proactively disseminating the information, proposing program recommendations where appropriate.
  • Internal and external stakeholder management across a diverse set of senior level stakeholders who may have competing priorities
  • Driving program deliverables and timelines to successful resolution
  • Supporting the Programme Director in the successful delivery of the program
  • In addition to delivering your specific assignment focus, you will also contribute to the development of the Bank's project solution delivery and competences by providing input into the continuing development of the Oracle competencies and skills.

You may be responsible for day-to-day management of Oracle Fusion SME's, defining roles and responsibilities, setting objectives, and defining tasks. You may be required to develop your team through sharing information effectively, coaching and communicating a clear vision to ensure that your staff are productive, engaged, and motivated to deliver the area's aims. This will include setting clear goals and smart stretching objectives that are aligned to those of the team, division, and directorate. You will also be responsible for handling all staff-related matters that may arise including performance, absence, and sickness.

Minimum (Essential) Criteria

  • A proactive self-starter who can develop and maintain effective working relationships with the programme community, the wider team, stakeholders from across the Bank and varying levels of seniority, and external suppliers.
  • Experience of working on and managing an Oracle Fusion solution in a centralized/programme on high priority, complex, business and IT programmes and projects
  • Excellent Oracle Fusion Cloud Financial, Procurement, Projects, HCM and Reporting Fusion skills, MS Office skills, including Microsoft Project and ExcelGood understanding of OCI and how SaaS solutions work alongside those PaaS resources enabled through the platform.
  • Experience providing a range of core Oracle Solution Architect services and capabilities covering as a minimum or with specific focus in:
  • Day to Day Management of Solution plans, resources, deliverables
  • Leading and Driving Meetings and Boards
  • Creating and Managing Planning, Governance and Controls
  • Driving Risk and Issue Management
  • Creating and implementing Business and Oracle processes design and implementation
  • Programme Heath Checks/Assurance
  • Programme Gating, milestones, and deliverables
  • Program Financials
  • Change Control
  • Defining Governance Approaches
  • Lessons Learnt
  • PM Reporting (eg Status Reporting, Risk Review Reporting, adherence dashboards, health check reports, and reporting to support Programme Board/senior reviewers).
  • Experience of producing high quality documentation, briefing papers, reports and presentations.
  • Experience delivering presentations to the delivery/programme and stakeholder community (or groups within this)
  • Experience managing third parties and program teams.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal, written and presentation) with the ability to connect with and influence people at all levels of the organisation.
  • Able to use judgement and provide sound justification for decisions.
  • Ability to challenge constructively whilst maintaining excellent working relationships within the programme community and with stakeholders.
  • Experience of working collaboratively across project and organisational boundaries to achieve shared goals.
  • Strong analytical skills; able to produce and report critical information and patterns from complex data, producing accurate conclusions and recommendations.
  • Experience of mentoring and coaching team members and wider PM team, including those more senior.

Desirable Criteria

  • Background experience of managing an Oracle Fusion solution workstream as a Solution Director.
  • Experience of working in a financial service and/or regulated industry.
  • Experience of defining and implementing new Business and Oracle processes applicable at Programme Level.
  • Experience working with JIRA and Confluence to deliver PMO reports or processes.
  • Experience in working with third parties and internal teams in the delivery of Oracle Fusion Cloud Programs across Projects/Financials/Procurement/HCM and reporting.
