Role purpose/summary

• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into effective solution designs for our party data model data platform.
• Architect and implement cloud-based solutions that leverage popular data platforms to enable efficient storage, processing, and analysis of large-scale data.
• Design scalable and resilient architectures that ensure high availability, fault tolerance, and disaster recovery for our data platform.
• Assess and select appropriate data platforms and technologies based on functional and non-functional requirements, considering factors such as performance, scalability, security, and cost-effectiveness.
• Provide guidance and technical leadership to development teams to ensure the accurate implementation of the solution design.

Key Skills/requirements

• Proven experience as a Solution Architect, designing and implementing cloud-based solutions.
• Strong knowledge of popular data platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS) (eg, S3, RDS, Redshift, Athena), Microsoft Azure (eg, Blob Storage, SQL Database, Data Lake Analytics), or Google Cloud Platform (eg, Cloud Storage, BigQuery).
• Deep understanding of cloud computing concepts, including infrastructure as code, serverless computing, and containerization.
• Expertise in designing scalable and resilient architectures for data-intensive applications.
• Familiarity with data modelling, ETL processes, and data integration techniques.
• Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in cloud environments (eg, Python, Java).
• Strong knowledge of security principles and best practices for cloud-based solutions.

Preferred Skills:

• Certification in cloud platforms.
• Experience with big data technologies such as Apache Hadoop, Spark, or Kafka.
• Knowledge of data governance and compliance frameworks.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools (eg, Git, Jenkins, Terraform).
