To work with a firm that creates dependable and adaptable test and measurement solutions that enable broadcasters and content creators to commission, debug, and monitor their video-delivery systems and workflows, iO Associates is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer.
The whole software stack will be involved in this job, from high-level software (which drives user interface, integration services, and control software) to specialised Linux device drivers that connect with unique hardware. You will gain knowledge of the newest Embedded computing platforms as you develop solutions that make use of developing broadcast technologies. The products leverage a variety of technologies, including as FPGAs, Yocto, Linux, C++, Qt, and ARM.
Qualifications and Experience required for the role:
- Degree in Computer Science, related field or other relevant and equivalent experience
- 5+ years of relevant software development experience with a track record of successful delivery through the entire software development life cycle
- 2+ years of professional experience with C++ (minimum C++11)
- 2+ years professional Linux development experience
- Computer Science fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented design
- Experience in current best practices for software development, including design reviews, coding standards, code reviews, source control management, CI, build processes, testing, and operations.
