Senior Product Owner (Contract)

Location: South East London Country: UK Rate: £550 - £600 per day
 

Senior Product Owner - 12 months - INSIDE IR35

Senior Product Owner will be responsible and accountable for the creation and ongoing maintenance of their product backlog, ensuring that stories are proportional, appropriately sized, and include sufficient information to enable development of high-quality software by Agile Teams.

This is a 12 month assignment and you will be reuired onsite 2 days per week.

  • Senior Product Owner experience of at least 4+ years on large complex development projects.
  • Develop strong, effective backlogs in an agile environment.
  • Communicate with non-technical stakeholders about complex technical concepts to effectively define and prioritise features, refine scope, and collect story acceptance criteria.
  • Balance competing tasks and demands effectively, answer questions, and provide prioritisation calls quickly, ensuring all assigned development teams are able to build consistently and are not held up waiting on responses
  • Organise and manage time effectively to ensure that features and stories are prepared and streamed to the teams to optimise the delivery flow.
  • Engage and nurture stakeholders, by actively listening, negotiating, and managing conflicts to determine scope/prioritisation, identify problems, and determine solutions with business and technical stakeholders
  • Coordinate integrations and dependencies with other Product Owners to ensure that development aligns with deliveries from other teams in time, scope and performance, ensuring a quality end-to-end product.
  • Mentor and support other Product Owners and team members, enabling effective product knowledge transfer and onboarding of new team members

Technical skills and experience as a Product Owner:

  • Experience in technical systems and data analysis.
  • Experience in developing complex, high transaction Back Office systems
  • Experience of implementing systems using Azure technologies
  • PCI compliant payment solutions; and SFIA competency-based resources would be desirable.
