SC Cleared Platform SME (Contract)
Location: Warwick OR Farnborough OR Corsham  Country: UK
 

Role Title: Platform SME

Location: Onsite 4/5 days in either Warwick, Farnborough or Corsham

Contract Inside IR35

Role Description:

  • Skilled Platform Subject Matter Expert (SME) to understand low level designs, create and implement build scripts, conduct testing and validation for a on-premises VMware infrastructure.
  • The following technology will be used to automate infrastructure as code - Terraform, Ansible and PowerShell DSC.
  • Collaboration and guide architects and clients to outline best practise to deliver Windows and Red Hat Linux virtual machines as code.
  • Potential for scope to include other virtual infrastructure and network devices.

Skills Required:

  1. - Proficient in writing, deploying and troubleshooting Terraform Configuration files,
  2. - Proficient in writing, deploying and troubleshooting Ansible Playbooks/YAML files,
  3. - Proficient in writing, deploying and troubleshooting PowerShell DSC MOFs and PowerShell Scripts
  4. - Understanding of Integration with VMware platform
  5. - Experience with version control system such as Git

Preferred:

  • Knowledge and some skill with other configuration management tools such as Chef, Puppet, Salt Stac
