Contract Details: Temporary, 9 months

Responsibilities:

Our client, a software company in the tax compliance industry, is seeking a Project Manager to support their Senior Project Manager in coordinating project activities and ensuring successful project delivery. This is a temporary role, with a contract length of 9 months, based in Brighton.

As a Project Manager, you will work closely with colleagues across various teams and locations, requiring excellent communication and collaboration skills. The role will involve a mix of remote and office-based work, with hybrid working arrangements available. The flexibility is necessary to accommodate the global nature of the business.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide day-to-day assistance to the Senior Project Manager in project delivery.
  • Work on multiple projects and gradually transition to leading these projects.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Schedule and facilitate project meetings, documenting decisions and next steps.
  • Break down projects into manageable tasks, setting timeframes and goals.
  • Create and update workflows, conduct risk analyses, and other project documentation.
  • Prepare and provide documentation to internal teams and key stakeholders.
  • Monitor project progress and address any potential issues.
  • Coordinate quality controls to ensure deliverables meet requirements.
  • Measure and report on project performance.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for all participants on smaller projects.

Person Requirements:

Essential:

  • Minimum of 2 years of related project management experience.
  • Knowledge of the full project management lifecycle.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent tasks and conflicting priorities.
  • A team player with a positive can-do attitude.
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office software, especially Excel.
  • Strong organisation and time-management skills.

Preferable:

  • Work experience as a junior Project Manager, Project Coordinator, or similar role.
  • Hands-on experience with flowcharts, business analysis documentation, and project documentation.
  • Experience with project management software, flowcharting software, and SalesForce.
  • Project management certification (eg, PRINCE2), business improvement certification (eg, Six Sigma or Lean), or other appropriate professional certification.
  • Degree level education.
  • Exposure to fast-paced operational environments, preferably in the SaaS industry.
